Create video ads in 7 minutes using AI š¬
A simple workflow that combines ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Suno to build social ads that actually convert.

Weāre only 4 days away from the kick-off of AI Content OS, and we only have 3 spots left before we close registration.
This cohort, weāre teaching attendees how to build:
A system for developing engaging long-form content that stands out in a landscape of generic AI slop (plus an automated system for turning it all into viral short-form content)
Comprehensive (but speedy) workflows for creating polished, brand-consistent AI-generated images and videos. Assets you can use across ads, landing pages, socials, and more.
A set of professional-grade landing pages, web apps, and lead magnets that drive qualified traffic to your business in droves.
And much more.
Time is almost up, so if youāre interested in joining us, make sure to register and claim your seat!

Hello everybody, welcome back to Moodboard š“
We spend a lot of time here talking about individual AI tools (their capabilities, their features, and how to use them effectively) in depth.
But the truth is, for founders and marketers, these tools become exponentially more powerful when you use them together.
So, today, I want to show you an example of a very simple workflow that ties multiple tools together to create a specific marketing asset: video ads for platforms like TikTok or Instagram.
Ready to try it out? Letās dive in šļø
The Goal
A lot of video ads try to do too much. They cram in product shots, testimonials, animations, and a bunch of stylized visual elements.
Unfortunately, much of the time, users on platforms like TikTok or IG will immediately clock that itās an ad and scroll right past.
āCopy-focusā video ads, as I call them, are a lot simpler, and, in my experience, more effective at this moment. They lead with the copy and they feel native to the platform because they mirror how regular users create content.
Hereās an example of this kind of ad that I saw out in the wild from Morning Brew ā¬ļø

I've tested these against other formats of video ads for multiple clients, and the copy-focus variants consistently outperform other formats (and cost 90% less to produce).
So, if youāre a marketer, Iād recommend you test them!
To create polished, visually-interesting versions of these ads quickly, I use three tools:
Claude or ChatGPT for compelling copy that stops the scroll
Suno for background music that sets the mood without overwhelming
Midjourney for a subtle video background that adds visual interest
The Meta-Prompt
Instead of writing separate prompts for each tool, I built a meta-prompt that generates all three at once. Just describe your business and it creates copy-paste ready prompts for each platform.
Here's the complete prompt:
Here is my business description:
[INSERT BUSINESS DESCRIPTION HERE]
You are an ad creative generator. Using the short description of my business, create three outputs:
1. MidJourney Prompt (for a 9:16 video ad background)
Write a MidJourney prompt that produces a cinematic, non-overwhelming background image.
The visual should feel connected to the business and brand but not literal or distracting.
Derive the aesthetic direction (style, mood, colors, vibe) from the business description or brand guidelines I provide.
Do not include text in the image.
End the prompt with --ar 9:16.
2. Suno Prompt (for background music)
Write a Suno prompt that generates non-abrasive, supportive background music.
The track should feel aligned with the brand's tone (derived from the description I provide).
Specify mood, tempo, and instruments (e.g., soft piano, light percussion, ambient synths, acoustic guitar, etc.).
3. Ad Copy (scroll-stopping, copy-focused video)
Write 4ā5 short lines of ad copy styled like high-performing "text-only" video ads.
Line 1: Scroll-stopping hook (big promise, bold question, or surprising statement).
Line 2ā3: Value proposition or pain point solved.
Line 4: Call to action.
Keep it concise, conversational, and designed for fast readability on social feeds.
At the end, clearly label each section as:
MidJourney Prompt:
Suno Prompt:
Ad Copy:
The Workflow
Letās walk through exactly how this works (I'll use Moodboard as an example so you can see real outputs).
Step 1: Run the Meta-Prompt
Drop your business description into ChatGPT or Claude with the meta-prompt above. You'll get three distinct outputs, each labeled and ready to copy.
Here are the outputs I received after providing ChatGPT with some information about Moodboard:
Suno Prompt:
mellow funk bass, smooth, with soft electric piano, lofi groove, electric, mellow, and gentle synth pads creating a nostalgic warmth, dreamy, nostalgic, pop, upbeat, city-pop, soft, funk, gentle, warm
Midjourney Prompt:
Dreamy Japanese city-pop illustration style, vibrant neon skyline at dusk, palm trees swaying against pastel pink and blue skies, retro office window view with glowing city lights, nostalgic 1980s vibe, smooth gradients, clean composition, atmospheric mood, warm and inviting --ar 9:16
Ad Copy:

Step 2: Generate Your Background Music
Head to Suno and paste in the music prompt. Make sure to check "Instrumental" (unless you want AI-generated vocals/lyrics in your background music).

Suno will generate multiple variations. Listen through and download the one that best matches the vibe youāre looking for.
Hereās the link to the song that it created from my prompt, in case you want to check it out.
Step 3: Create Your Video Background
Next, drop the image prompt into Midjourney. You'll get four vertically-oriented images to choose from.
Choose the one you like the most, and, to turn that static image into a video, click āLow Motionā in the āAutoā row of the āAnimate imageā menu.
(If you'd like a more descriptive/detailed guide to using Midjourney for generating both image & video, check out our past guides: "How to Get the Most out of Midjourney" and "Creating Video with Midjourney")

Extend the animation (by selecting āAuto Extendā on the video output you prefer).
Repeating this āauto-extendā process 2-3 more times will create a subtle, 15-20 second animated background. Just enough movement to feel alive without distracting from your copy š«”
Step 4: Assemble in Your Editor
Now we bring it all together. I use CapCut because it's lightweight, free, and very simple, but any editor works (Kapwing, iMovie, Premiere, whatever you've got).

Import your video background and music. Add your copy as a text overlay, and use a clean, bold font (add a subtle drop shadow and/or a low-opacity background to help the text stand out a bit more).
Export, and youāve got your final product. Hereās how mine came out š

(If you want to see it with the music, hereās a link to the MP4).
The Takeaway
While each of these tools is fun to play around with and has its own unique applications, I hope you're seeing that when used together, the output is much greater than the sum of its parts.
If you take the time to learn the nuances of these tools and practice using them together, you become a real "swiss army knife" of a marketer.
Try it out, and have fun with it!

Until next week,
Ryan
