How to Get The Most Out of Midjourney

Exploring the personalization features that learn and apply your unique artistic taste.

I've been using Midjourney since 2022. I loved it then, and I love it now.

Watching it evolve into its current state has been wild.

To put the progress in perspective, below is an output that I generated on August 10th, 2022 using Midjourney’s (at the time) state-of-the-art V3 model. The prompt was “a soccer stadium built in the year 2300”.

And here’s the same prompt generated using today’s V7 model.

The current state of Midjourney is a powerhouse AI art/image generation tool with:

  • Incredible image quality that can be mistaken as real to the untrained (or, in many cases, the trained) eye

  • Tremendous depth and flexibility for achieving specific visions and outputs

  • A huge, supportive community sharing techniques and inspiration

  • An intuitive web interface (no more Discord-only access)

There are a lot of reasons to love Midjourney (don’t get me going), but today, I want to talk about a set of functionalities that unlocks a ton of creative potential for creators and marketers:

The comprehensive personalization features, specifically the ability to create images from a “moodboard” (sound familiar?)

Most AI tools give you what they think looks good. Midjourney learns what you think looks good.
