My workflow for creating YouTube thumbnails (fast) ✨
A 3-step process for pro-level thumbnails, and it only takes 5 minutes.

Hello everybody, welcome back to Moodboard 🌴
I’ve been focusing pretty heavy on creating killer YouTube videos showcasing the same kinds of AI workflows that we share here in the newsletter (obligatory plug to check out the channel and subscribe).
Today, I'm sharing the workflow we’ve developed for making on-brand YouTube thumbnails, fast.
You give it your video idea, title, and a headshot (+ a few reference thumbnails if you have a specific visual direction in mind).
From there, it runs in three phases:
It interviews you about the video and studies the images you've attached.
It pitches five different thumbnail concepts for approval.
It writes five complete image-generation prompts you can run in ChatGPT, Nano Banana, or your image model of choice.
(PS: If you'd rather watch me walk through the workflow from start to finish, I just published a YouTube video explaining how to get the most out of it→ )
Get the Prompt
I put the full prompt and quick-start instructions in Notion so you can bookmark it and use it whenever you want.

Paste it into Claude or ChatGPT with your headshot and start talking.
You can also save it as a skill (this is what I recommend) and run the same workflow from a project folder.
Have fun with it 🤝
