This prompt interviews you, then builds your lead magnet 🧲

It asks about your business, designs 3 concepts, and builds the winner.

Hello everybody, welcome back to Moodboard 🌴

BEFORE WE DIVE IN:

We still have room to take on 2 new Tailwind partners in March.

If you've been thinking about launching a newsletter funnel for your business (or you have one that's not getting the attention it deserves), this is the best opportunity to get started with our team in 2026.

The Tailwind team will:

  • Design, build, and launch your weekly newsletter in Beehiiv

  • Write and send new editions every week

  • And help you grow that newsletter using the same set of strategies we’ve used to grow Moodboard

👉 If you want to build and grow a newsletter funnel that works for your business, simply reply to this email.

Today, I'm sharing a prompt that builds interactive, email-gated lead magnets (think quizzes, scorecards, calculators, and diagnostic tools) completely customized to your business.

This one takes full advantage of all of the power of Anthropic’s newest Opus 4.6 model.

You paste the prompt, answer a few questions, and walk away with a fully-built interactive experience that’s ready to push live and collect emails.

Ready to see how it works? Let's dive in 👇

Quick Refresher: What's a Wizard Prompt? 🧙

If you've been reading Moodboard for a while, you know I'm a huge fan of what I call "wizard prompts.”

They’re built to operate kind of like a software wizard does when you’re first setting up a new program (hence the name).

Instead of trying to figure out and include every detail of what you want up front, you give the AI a structured process to interview you, gather context, and then create a customized output you’re looking for.

It’s a great framework for reducing the “slop factor” of your AI-assisted marketing deliverables.

The Prompt

This one's longer than what I usually share (about 3,500 words), because it contains the full playbook: interview questions, design principles, lead magnet archetypes, and build instructions.

Drop it into a Claude conversation or into Claude Code and the wizard will take over from there.

All you gotta do is copy and paste 🤝

How It Works

The whole process takes about 10-15 minutes.

Phase 1: The Interview

This is where the wizard earns its name. Instead of hitting you with a 20-question intake form, it starts with one open-ended question, something like "Tell me about your business and who you're trying to reach."

From there, it infers as much as possible from your answer and only asks follow-up questions about genuine gaps. The entire interview is usually 2-3 exchanges.

It'll ask you to drop your website URL too. If you do, it'll actually pull your site and analyze your colors, fonts, tone, and messaging, so the lead magnet it builds matches your brand without you having to specify hex codes.

The interview ends with a clean summary of everything it gathered, formatted as a brief. You confirm it's accurate, and it moves on.

Phase 2: Concept Presentation

Instead of jumping straight to building, it presents three genuinely different lead magnet concepts each using a different format and mechanic.

(Like I tell VMOS students, always prompt for options)

We're talking scorecards, ROI calculators, diagnostic assessments, interactive quizzes, benchmark comparisons, recommendation engines. It pulls from a menu of 10 proven archetypes and picks the three that make the most sense for your specific business and audience.

Each concept comes with a description, an explanation of why it works for your persona, how and when the email gets collected, and a design direction.

You pick your favorite (or combine elements from multiple), and it moves to the build.

Phase 3: The Build

The prompt contains detailed design instructions (typography rules, color systems, animation patterns, layout principles) that produce a genuinely polished output.

It builds the entire lead magnet as a single, self-contained HTML file. No backend needed, just one file you can host anywhere.

The lead magnet will be fully interactive (users make choices, input data, complete steps), collect emails with validation, show personalized results, and even include social share buttons.

The email form won't be connected to your provider out of the box (it's frontend-only), but the code includes clear comments showing exactly where to plug in your Beehiiv, ConvertKit, or Mailchimp form action URL.

If you have any trouble with that final step, simply ask Claude for step-by-step instructions on how to take care of that last bit of functionality.

How I'd Use This

A few ideas for getting the most out of it:

Try it with Claude Code: If you've been curious about Claude Code but haven't tried it yet, this is a perfect first project. Save the prompt as a file, tell Claude Code to follow the instructions, and it'll walk you through the interview and build the lead magnet directly on your machine.

Pair it with your existing content: If you already have blog posts, newsletters, or frameworks that your audience loves, mention them during the interview. The wizard can build a lead magnet around your existing intellectual property (which is way more compelling than a generic quiz).

Use it for clients: If you run an agency or do consulting, this is a fast way to prototype lead magnets during a discovery call. Run through the interview, present the concepts, and build the winner, all in one session.
