Build an AI lead magnet in <45 Minutes 🎯

Yesterday I spent ~45 minutes building an AI-powered lead magnet that collects emails, asks qualifying questions, and uses Gemini Pro to recommend personalized prompts from the Moodboard archive.

I didn't write a single line of code.

Today, I'm sharing how Lovable's new Cloud + AI features let you build interactive lead magnets that actually work to capture emails, store user data, and provide instant value using AI.

What Changed with Lovable Cloud

Until this month, building functional web apps in Lovable was kind of a pain. 

You could create beautiful landing pages, sure. But anything that needed to capture data, run AI features, or connect to other services required setting up an integration with Supabase, managing API keys, and a ton of back-and-forth troubleshooting (and even then, it would still break a lot).

Lovable Cloud solves a lot of these problems. Now you get built-in backend infrastructure, AI integration (using Gemini and OpenAI models), and data storage all natively within the platform.

This means that you can build tools that collect emails, analyze user input, provide personalized recommendations, and store everything in a database. Just by prompting!

(To use the Cloud + AI features, you do have to be on the Lovable “Pro” tier for now, but it may be worth upgrading for a month to experiment and build/test some lead magnets of your own)

The Lead Magnet I Built

So, in the intro, I told you about the lead magnet that I built yesterday.

Here's what it does:

1. User lands on the page and clicks "Get Started"

2. Form collects their email, company type, role, and marketing goals

3. Gemini Pro analyzes their responses against the Moodboard prompt database

4. The tool then returns a recommendation for the most immediately useful prompt from all past editions of Moodboard + an explanation of why we chose it and how to use it

5. Everything (emails, company type, role, and goals) gets stored in Lovable's database for easy export to Beehiiv
