10 more styles to steal 🎨

Copy-paste codes that instantly transform your Midjourney images.

Hello everybody, welcome back to Moodboard 🌴

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Earlier this week, I published a YouTube video walking through some simple (but powerful) “vibe coding” workflows in Google's AI Studio.

We covered how to create lead magnets, data visualizations, and even some fun generative art projects - all without writing a single line of code.

Check it out, and make sure to subscribe to the channel (and turn on notifications) for new video walkthroughs of vibe marketing workflows every week!

A few months ago, I shared 10 Midjourney style codes that you could copy and paste onto any prompt to transform the aesthetics of your outputs.

We got a lot of love for that edition, so today I'm sharing Volume 2.

We’ve got 10 more thoughtfully-curated style codes I've been experimenting with (so that you can steal them for your own projects).

Let's dive in 👇

A Quick Refresher on Style Codes

For those who missed Volume 1 (or just need a reminder), here's the quick version:

Style reference codes (the --sref parameter) tell Midjourney to apply a specific aesthetic to your generations. All you have to do is add --sref [number] to the end of any prompt.

For example, prompting "day at the beach" gives you a standard Midjourney output.

But "a day at the beach --sref 47986323" transforms it into a “storybook style” ink illustration 👇️

If you want a more comprehensive deep-dive into Midjourney (including how to build your own visual brand identity, personalizing your outputs, and detailed systems for building all kinds of marketing assets with Midjourney), check out our self-guided course: Vibe Marketer OS.

We spend 2 of the 12 modules training you into a Midjourney expert so that you can use the tool effectively across ALL of your marketing workflows.

Okay, without further ado, onto the codes!

1. Alien Landscape (--sref 3963228072)

Surreal sci-fi environments with an otherworldly color palette of deep purples, acid greens, and amber yellows. Think Moebius meets vintage science fiction book covers. The compositions feel vast and cinematic.

2. Golden Hour Minimalism (--sref 235191135)

Soft, flat illustrations with a warm golden-yellow and dusty blue duotone palette. Very clean and minimal, with a serene, contemplative quality. Perfect for editorial illustrations, calm brand aesthetics, or anything that needs to feel peaceful and sophisticated.

3. Blueprint Cyanotype (--sref 2072286150)

Everything looks like it's been drawn on blueprint paper. White sketch lines against a deep Prussian blue background. The style has a technical, architectural quality. Works beautifully for portraits, still life, buildings, and anything you want to feel like a hand-drafted study.

4. Psychedelic Swirl (--sref 3176460494)

Bold, saturated colors with Van Gogh-like textured brushstrokes. Purples, oranges, greens, and magentas all swirling together. Very trippy and expressive.

5. Technical Sketch (--sref 35639047)

Detailed black and white illustrations with an architectural drafting quality. Notes, measurements, and technical annotations scattered throughout. Reminds me of da Vinci's notebooks or a designer's working sketches. Excellent for educational content or giving anything a "behind the scenes" feel.

6. Storybook Ink (--sref 1246700902)

Whimsical black ink illustrations on cream paper. Simple, charming, with a children's book quality. Hand-drawn doodles that feel warm and approachable. Perfect for editorial illustrations, brand mascots, or anything that needs personality without taking itself too seriously.

7. Twilight Silhouette (--sref 176639243)

Minimal compositions with subjects silhouetted against gradient sunset skies. Deep blues transitioning to soft peach and coral. Very calm and cinematic, with a melancholic beauty. This one reminds me of the Moodboard aesthetic a bit!

8. Anime Autumn (--sref 47986323)

Warm, earthy tones with a Studio Ghibli-esque illustration style. Terracottas, forest greens, and soft creams. The aesthetic feels nostalgic and slightly vintage, like frames from a hand-painted animated film. Great for cozy scenes and anything with a narrative quality.

9. Soft Impressionist (--sref 3342922409)

Painterly soft focus with muted, romantic colors. Rose pinks, sage greens, and gentle earth tones. Everything feels like it's been captured through a hazy lens, with visible brushstrokes and a museum-quality oil painting texture.

10. Noir Line Art (--sref 2475496963)

Elegant white line drawings on pure black backgrounds. Minimalist and sophisticated, with a fine art quality. Just enough detail to suggest form without over-rendering. Good for high-end brand work or anything that needs understated elegance.

Combining Style Codes

One of my favorite things about Midjourney's style reference system is that you can blend multiple codes together.

The syntax is simple: just add both codes after the --sref parameter, separated by a space.

For example, if you wanted to combine the Alien Landscape look with Golden Hour Minimalism, you'd write:

--sref 3963228072 235191135

Midjourney will blend the two aesthetics together, giving you something that borrows from both.

Here’s what it looks like when I combine those two style codes with the simple prompt: “a dog.”

You can also weight them differently if you want one style to dominate. Adding :: followed by a number after each code adjusts its influence:

--sref 3963228072::2 235191135::1

This makes the first style twice as influential as the second (in this case, making it twice as “sci-fi illustration”) 👇️

It's worth experimenting with. Some combinations produce unexpected results that are better than either code alone!
